HEVA 2024: A Calendar Full of Events

The European project for the protection and enhancement of volcanic products, named Heva – “Heroes of Europe: Volcanic Agriculture” is gearing up for a rich schedule of events in 2024.

Financed by the European Union, the project involves Italian and Greek wine consortia joining forces to preserve and promote products born from volcanic terroirs. Through participation in key events, the project aims to raise awareness among consumers and industry professionals about the excellences of these products, distinguished by European Union protection marks.

One key element of the project is participation in some of the most prestigious food and wine fairs, both in Italy and abroad. These events provide an extraordinary opportunity to showcase the richness of these volcanic products and educate a wide audience about their distinctive features, highlighted by the European Union protection marks.

Among the prominent events in 2024, Heva is preparing to make its appearance at the following:

Oenorama, Athens

Oenorama represents the largest and most important exhibition of Greek wine since 1994. With over 250 exhibitors and more than 2,500 wines and spirits, this fair provides a comprehensive overview of the Greek wine industry. With over 10,000 Greek and foreign visitors expected, industry professionals, and wine enthusiasts will gather from March 2 to 4 at the “Zappeion Megaron” in the center of Athens.

ProWein, Dusseldorf

From March 10 to 12, Heva will be present at ProWein, the world’s most important wine trade fair. This global showcase offers the ideal opportunity to promote Heva and its products, attract new buyers, and consolidate promotional activities in the new year.

Cibus, Parma

Cibus, the International Food Exhibition, is a must-attend event for the Italian agri-food sector. Here, institutions, companies, and industry professionals come together to discuss future strategies for the sector. The event represents a great opportunity to develop international business relationships, stay updated on industry innovations, and plan the future of business. Heva will be present throughout the event from May 7 to 10.

Salone del Gusto 2024, Turin

From September 26 to 30, Heva will participate in the Salone del Gusto, the global event dedicated to food and food policies according to the Slow Food philosophy. With over 600 Italian and international producers, the event focuses on food as an opportunity for regeneration, offering a rich program of events.

Merano Wine Festival

From November 8 to 12, 2024, the Merano Wine Festival aims to highlight the excellences of the national and international food and wine sector. This event brings together producers, visitors, the press, and industry professionals in a gathering of current affairs, history, comparisons, and beauty, becoming a symbol for the food and wine sector.

Alongside the listed 2024 events throughout the year, Heva will engage in a series of masterclasses and incoming activities involving industry experts on an exciting journey to discover the territories involved in the project. This synergy of knowledge, experience, and passion will contribute to revealing the hidden treasures of these unique terroirs.
